Welcome to the May edition of the Arcana newsletter. I hope everyone had a fantastic Free Comic Book Day. Let’s start this off with a bang. Here’s the big news:
Â ARCANA STUDIO BECOMES OFFICIAL DISNEY VENDOR
After working on two “top secret” projects, Arcana’s work has shined through and they have officially become a Disney vendor providing art and creative services. More details to follow.
DARK HORRORS ANTHOLOGY: THE SEQUEL!
Like any good horror movie, a sequel is just around the corner. And with Arcana’s anthology book it was just a matter of time before plans for a 2nd edition were announced! One of the highlights of last year’s Dark Horrors was the success story of Jon Landry, whose first published artwork was his Koni Waves: Hog Wild! contribution. Since then Jon has gone on to be the artist on Top Cow’s City of Heroes! Who will be this year’s success story? CLOCKWORK GIRL 25 CENT INTRODUCTORY ISSUE!
Hot off the preview in this month’s Arcana Studio Presents 2007 FCBD offering, Clockwork Girl is in this month’s Previews. This 25 cent introductory comic prepares you for the September launch. Arcana’s Sean O’Reilly and Disney’s Kevin Hanna have created a wonderful all ages fairytale beautifully illustrated by Revere’s Grant Bond.

Koni Waves will be featured in the June 3rd Drawn and Quartered section of the Honolulu Star Bulletin! The Honolulu Star BulletinÂ isÂ the oldest continuously published daily newspaper in Hawaii. Drawn and Quartered is their weekly comic book section. With the Koni Waves/Demonslayer One ShotÂ and the Koni Waves: First Wave TPB schedule for a June release, theÂ Honolulu Star BulletinÂ thought it was theÂ perfect timeÂ to feature Hawaii’s hottest detective!Â Â
